Our customers, seasoned campervanners who have travelled extensively across Europe in their T5, decided it was time for an upgrade & came to us with their MWB Crafter.
They had a clear vision for their new van. A permanent bed was essential, along with a cosy living area & a fully enclosed toilet & shower cubicle.
At the same time, they wanted to retain some of the much-loved features from their T5, including their existing cooker & sink setup.
This thoughtfully designed campervan conversion delivers everything you would expect from a larger LWB layout, combining practicality with a modern, refined finish to create a comfortable space ready for new adventures.

The swivel double seat base opens up the living area beautifully, complemented by an additional bench seat to create a comfortable space for relaxing, dining or simply enjoying the views. Storage has been carefully considered throughout, with overhead cab storage, additional upper cabinets & under-seat compartments. A swing-arm table provides flexibility, making it ideal for dining or working on the go.
The kitchen is both functional & stylish, featuring a solid oak worktop with a lift-up extension to increase preparation space. It includes an 80-litre Dometic fridge with a removable freezer compartment. At the customer’s request, their Dometic cooker & separate sink with glass lids were seamlessly integrated into the design. Storage is plentiful, with three cupboards, one of which houses a soft-close drawer system for easy access.
An overhead shelf keeps everyday essentials within reach, while a dimmable light adds both practicality & ambience. The kitchen area also includes 12V, USB-C & 240V sockets, along with the boiler controller for hot water at their fingertips.
Throughout the living & kitchen area, dimmable spotlights provide adaptable lighting to suit any time of day.
Opposite the kitchen is a sleek, fully enclosed shower room featuring modern fittings & a powerful hot shower. It includes a Thetford 400 series toilet with electric flush & 19-litre capacity. A Maxxair roof light with fan effectively manages ventilation & condensation, while the lightweight, waterproof ROLdour door offers a practical, space-saving solution. This space truly brings a touch of luxury to life on the road.
To the rear, a fixed 6.2ft bed with a luxurious 10-inch Comficel cooling mattress ensures a restful night’s sleep. Soft lighting & integrated USB chargers enhance the atmosphere, while two storage cupboards provide ample space for clothing.
Beneath the bed, a spacious garage area offers generous storage for outdoor equipment & travel essentials.
This campervan is equipped with three charging systems: solar, a Victron DC-DC charger & a 240V hook-up, all powered by an AGM GEL battery system at the heart of the setup.
For comfort in all seasons, a 5kW Autoterm heater keeps the interior warm on colder days & nights. In warmer conditions, the Maxxair fan & rear vent work together to maintain airflow & a comfortable temperature, ideal for European travel.
As their dog will be joining them on their adventures, a Fiamma F80s awning was installed, providing shade on sunny days & shelter when the weather turns.
For added comfort & privacy, Van-X blackout thermal curtains complete the space, ensuring cosy evenings & a great night’s sleep.
This conversion perfectly balances functionality & style, delivering everything this lovely couple needed for off-grid travel & weekend escapes, all within a compact & beautifully crafted space.
